Check it out, the folks at id Software have given their site a much-needed facelift. Unfortunately, there's no news on the New Doom game in development... but then, I didn't really think there would be.

 Raven-Games Reviews Jedi Outcast
Posted by William 'Phoebus' Mull at 1:46 PM
Category: General

Over on our sister site, Raven-Games.com, we've just posted our review of the latest Raven Software masterpiece, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Here's a taste to whet your appetite:
Following this game's development since news first appeared on the net in 2001, I pretty much knew Jedi Knight II would be a winner. Why? First, you've got Raven at the helm, rather than LucasArts. Entrusting the Star Wars license and game development to Raven was an incredibly smart move. Since Raven is home to some serious Star Wars fanatics, I knew the game was going to remain totally faithful to the Star Wars universe and contain some amazing artwork.
What's the second (and third, and fourth, ...) reason this game's a winner? Check out the review and see for yourself!

We've just posted our NASCAR Racing 2002 Season Review. Our own racing sims enthusiast Jason 'pailhead' Pratt seems to be getting into the whole cultural phenomenon on this one. Here's a clip:
Now let me see, people say that folks that like stockcar racing are rednecks. Well I guess you can call me a redneck now. Now I've been a fan of the series since Nascar 3 but with this release I'm now a hardcore fan.
Check out the rest of our review to find out what the NASCAR gaming fuss is all about!

Activision Announces Star Trek Elite Force 2
Posted by William 'Phoebus' Mull at 7:34 PM
Category: General

It's been rumored for some time, we posted a news story on this a few days ago, and now Activision has officially announced Star Trek Elite Force 2:
In this sequel to the critically acclaimed first person action game, players resume the role of Alexander Munro, chief of the Hazard Team, Starfleet's elite security unit. Now assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-E, players will explore strange new worlds, battle against both new and familiar civilizations and go on the most dangerous assignments in the galaxy. Star Trek Elite Force II is being developed by Ritual Entertainment and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
Interestingly, the sequel is now set in the Star Trek: The Next Generation universe (hence, no more Voyager in the title), so players will face off against classic Star Trek antagonists such as the Borg, Klingons and Romulans. Visit the official Star Trek site and/or the official site for all Star Trek games for more info.

 Onimusha Sequel Announced

Capcom on Wednesday announced an August 27 launch for Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny for PS2. Onimusha 2 includes more expansive environments to explore, new character interactions, enhanced swordplay and over twice the volume of animated movies. Onimusha 2 in Japan shipped one million units within two weeks of its launch.
Blending magic with accurate historical accounts of 16th century Feudal Japan, Onimusha 2 begins 10 years following the events in Onimusha: Warlords, after an infamous Japanese warlord has brutalized a village. Players take the role of the hero, a young warrior and master of the Yagyu Shinkage sword fighting style, who seeks revenge against Nobunaga.

Outside the castle walls, players will travel around the town of Imasho, an old gold rush town, the Sacred Place of the Oni Clan, foggy canyons, hidden forests, a gold mine, caves and more. Players can execute a new set of sword moves called Ohgi, or esoteric fighting, to execute devastating combos using a simple control scheme. Further, players can gain access to the new fighting skills of not only the main character but up to four unique sub-characters.
