If you're in the market for a new output display, Techware Labs has posted up a review of the new Samsung 19" LCD monitor. Here's a sample:It seems like just yesterday that the neighbor's massive15" CRT with more curvature than a baloon was the best thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately for our credit cards, that's simply not the case. Samsung's new 19" LCD boasts incredible visual clarity, combined with a tiny footprint, and a plethora of other features. Head on over to Techware Labs and wish them well on their Grand Opening!

We've just posted our own Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos review. Here's the intro:Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos is a real time strategy game based in the fantasy world of Azeroth. Unlike the previous Warcraft games, Warcraft 3 features a new fully 3d engine. The single player campaign follows in suit with Blizzard's previous title, Starcraft, in that each races' campaign is a portion of an ongoing story; starting with Humans and ending with the Night Elves. Will this stand up to the task of pleasing followers of this series? We will see. Good reading, nice screenshots, and we gave Warcraft 3 our coveted Mindless Choice Award, what more could you ask for? Check out the rest of the review!

It should come as no surprise that Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos has already sold over one million copies and shows no signs of slowing down. Here's a bit of the announcement from Blizzard's Press Release:Blizzard Entertainment, a studio of the games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, announced today that Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide, according to EDI sell-through, internal company estimates, and reports from key retail accounts around the world. Over 4.4 million units of the game have been shipped to retail to satisfy demand for Warcraft III, which is now the fastest-selling PC game ever, surpassing the records set in 2000 and 2001 by two other Blizzard titles, Diablo II and the expansion set, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, respectively.
Following in the tradition of previous Blizzard games, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is now the seventh Blizzard product not only to sell 1 million copies, but also to reach #1 in U.S. sales. Elited has reviewed The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind from Bethesda Softworks:Morrowind is truly a RPG game that will keep you busy for a good long time. Many hours of gameplay will come from this game due to the fact that it is so vast, you can do what you want, and as who you want to be. The graphics are spellbounding and the effects are wonderful. You will catch yourself just staring at the monitor in awe of the rain falling on the water. Be sure to check out the rest!

Paul Pawlicki, assistant producer at Fox Interactive, gives all the scary details about AvP2: Primal Hunt:Knowing the "ins and outs" of LithTech was the number one priority. Third Law knows LithTech and knows it well. In fact, they were even hired by LithTech, Inc. to create a tech demo a while back. Their familiarity with the engine wasn't the only reason, though. Third Law is made up of a group of very talented people whose collective experience in FPS games and FPS add-ons goes all the way back to days of DOOM.
We also knew from experience (they did the extra levels in the No One Lives Forever Game of the Year edition for Fox) that they are both very creative and very disciplined, capable of turning around a great product in a relatively short time ... and we really liked working with them. Be sure to check out the rest of the interview!

Activision has announced the release of Stuart Little 2 for the Game Boy Advance:The loveable "can do" star of Columbia Pictures' upcoming feature film "Stuart Little 2" leaps from the big screen into the palms of fans' hands with the release of Activision, Inc.'s Stuart Little 2 for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance.
Each level in Stuart Little 2 closely follows the plot of the film challenging players to solve the disappearances of Stuart's new best friend, Margalo, and Mrs. Little's wedding ring. As the resilient hero Stuart, players skateboard, dodge, jump and fly through 10 action-packed levels while competing in races, taking on foes, piloting a "bi-plane" and scaling skyscrapers in a hot air balloon. Stuart Little 2's multiplayer feature allows players to go head-to-head as either Stuart or Margalo via the Game Boy Advance Game Link® cable in some intense racing action as they relive their favorite movie moments. Under license from Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Stuart Little 2 features voiceover talent and sound effects from the movie and lets players continue the adventures of the world-famous mouse well beyond the movie experience. Stuart Little 2 is rated "E", which means the content is suitable for everyone six years or older.

Monkey Review has posted their review of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, giving Blizzard's latest classic 4.5 out of 5 bananas:WarCraft3 is a different, yet bold, RTS. Old fans of the series (like me) might quickly get the hang of it, while there are enough new features to make things interesting again. At the same time the game is simple enough to be a good choice for those who are new to the RTS swing of things. I can safely say that the indefinable Blizzard-magic is intact, and will draw you right in if you're not careful. That's not all, be sure to check out the rest.

We thought we'd try a new, regularly recurring news feature called Truly Mindless for gaming related stories that we think might be absolutely ridiculous, for one reason or another. Our first such news feature is about a report we noticed on ZDNet called Microsoft claim shakes graphics world:OpenGL, a widely used cross-platform graphics standard, may be subject to more restrictive licensing following recent claims by Microsoft that it owns patents to technology critical to the specification. Be sure to read the rest of the article. You can email us your comments, and we'll post them right here.

Monkey Review have posted a review of Strategic Command - European Theater. I think they liked it. Here's a bit:This game I will admit is probably one of the first games that has grabbed me and kept me in front of my monitor for more than 7 hours straight, unfortunately though, even after that long you don’t always see much progress. GamesXtreme has just put up a review of Troika Games' Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura. Here's a brief blurb of their 93% review:I've been waiting for a decent RPG fix to come along that doesn't follow the traditional D&D standard that so many adhere to in more recent releases, and I have found the fix in Arcanum. If this game is available in your area, and you've a craving for some old-fashioned CRPG goodness, pick it up. Be sure to check out the article itself.

As most of you may remember, the first two Duke Nukem games were side scrollers that proved to be a lot of fun in their day. We're sure we're not the only ones wishing there were more games like them today. While 3D Realms has been, and continues, twiddling their thumbs over their next Duke game forever, Arush Games has thankfully stepped up to the plate with Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. This is a unique and highly commendable effort in and of itself, that brings players back to the side-scroller style of gameplay, with all the bells and whistles of today's 3D technology. But how well does Duke make the transition back to side scroller land? Head to our Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project review to find out!

Matthew Hopwood sent us the following information on what they're working on at AGB Games:Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for voting in our polls, you are being a great help in deciding the style of game we should be creating.
Secondly, we would like to mention our updated advanced 3D racing game engine for Gameboy Advance and PDA , with over 20 new screen shots and 6 videos. The engine allows the player to navigate at high speed around a mix of arbitrary indoor and outdoor worlds. The videos show various locations around a 4-mile track that we have up and running on GBA at around 30 fps. Some locations include river jump, canyon jump, urban area, desert area, tunnels, railway and inside a large multi-storey building.
Thirdly, we would like to mention our 3D football (soccer) engine for Gameboy Advance. We have two full teams running around the stadium at 20 to 30 fps.
Finally, yet importantly we would like to mention that we have begun the development of a game based on a mix of game styles suggested by those who have been voting in our polls. Head to the AGB Games website for more info and lots of media!
